April Meeting April 26th 1 PM
The April Meeting of the Lake Superior
Regional Trauma Advisory Council will be
Thursday the 26th at 1 PM. The meeting
location is the Community Center in Cable
located on Hwy M.
Agenda items will include: OJA
Communications Interoperability Grant TBI
Training and Outreach Trauma Center Injury
Prevention Programs Peds Champs Other Issues
that may come before the Council See you

Communications Interoperability Grants are
Working
The Lake Superior Region is working with
some HRSA funding to improve communications
for our medical responders. By August 31 we
will spend over $200,000 assisting
responders purchase and program radios as
well as offerr some great educational
oppertunities. We are also working with
Wisconsin Emergency Management to assist in
the ppurchase and operation of MARC
repeaters throuighout the region. MARC
repeaters will be used only during a multi
agency event and need to be authorized by
the State EOC prior to use.
All agencies taking part in this funding
need to have their expenses truned in prior
to July 10th so that they can be processed
in time to meet the federal timelines. If

Second Trauma Registry Workshop Scheduled
A Regional Trauma Advisory Council Trauma
Registry Workshop is scheduled for Monday,
May 14, 2007 from1:00 pm 4:00 pm at Sacred
Heart Hospital 900 West Clairmont Ave Eau
Claire , WI. This workshop is brought to you
by the Lake Superior RTAC, North/Northwest
RTAC, as well as the West Central RTAC.
The schedule will be: 1:00 pm 1:15 pm
Opening Remarks 1:15 pm 4:00 pm
